ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT
Today we will practice taking action photos of one another. You
will partner up with one or two peers. One of you will be in action, running,
cartwheels, juggling, spinning, etc, while the other takes photos.
- When we return to class, you will submit your work on Google Classroom.
- Contact sheet of 12 pictures titled Action Practice
Tips:
- For the Manual setting, use an ISO of________________.
- You may want to preset your shutter & aperture (set your meter) before taking your photos.
- Try to get the person’s face!
- If you have continuous shutter speed, try it.
- Use auto focus, but be sure that you move the camera to focus on the right part of the picture!

Panning Tips:
- Take a picture of someone or something moving in an interesting fashion. Set your shutter to 1/15, 1/30, or 1/45. Basically slow the shutter down.
- Move the camera at the same speed as your subject.
- Take the picture.
- The subject should be in focus and the background out of focus.
